Your First Session of Hypnosis
Your first session is 30 minutes longer than other hypnotherapy sessions as we take the time to get all the information possible about your childhood and your goals; we take the time to establish which senses you receive information the most effectively, and together we create the most relaxing and empowering way for you to guide yourself in to a peaceful trance state.
Together we establish a framework on how we may work the most effectively to achieve your goals. We may chose positive affirmations, visualizations, or we may use other proven techniques alone or in combination with others.
Before any hypnosis takes place we set up simple finger signals so you can always communicate with the hypnotherapist, you will have a yes signal, a no signal as well as a "flag" signal. If you activate the "flag", you will be immediately taken to a relaxing place where you become calm and at peace, we then discuss your needs and you decide if you wish to continue the session or modify the session in some way. You are always in complete control, guided and supported on your journey at all times.
After the intake, you will be treated to a guided relaxation; once you are completely relaxed, you then deepen yourself into hypnosis at your own pace, guided by the hypnotherapist at all times. Once in hypnosis you receive beneficial suggestions to assist you in making positive life changes.
Before you are guided back into the room, you integrate any new habits and future memories, bringing yourself back feeling more confident and relaxed than when you entered the room. |
With weight loss and other habit changes, we sometimes create "post-hypnotic triggers," designed to be activated during your everyday life; these serve to remind you of your chosen habit changes and hence reinforce them.
After Hypnotherapy
You will take a hypnotherapy or guided meditation CD home with you in order to further reinforce your session. You may have homework or be required to meditate regularly, depending on your individual needs. Further Sessions
Follow-up sessions tend to be an hour long each, here we explore the "Root Cause," of an issue or behaviour. We re-examine past events from an adult perspective, often achieving life-changing revelations. This is often known as, "Time-Line Therapy."
You are guided safely back to when you first experienced those emotions / physical sensations and determine the, "Root Cause," the reasons behind the condition. At all times, your safely is paramount (no hypnosis will take place if you are not entirely comfortable)
Self-Hypnosis
Over three sessions, should you chose to, you may learn how to take yourself into hypnosis, thereby strengthening your chosen suggestions and enabling you to continue your positive changes indefinitely.
